Before you configure Citrix server farm details in the Workspace ONE Access console, you must complete certain prerequisite tasks. You must deploy and configure the Integration Broker, a Workspace ONE Access component, on a supported Windows Server and set up Citrix PowerShell remoting to enable communication between the Integration Broker and the Citrix server farm.
- The Citrix Workspace app allows for secure, unified access to all of your SaaS apps, web apps, virtual apps, files, and desktops. If your company uses Citrix, simply login with your company credentials to access all of the resources you need to be productive from anywhere.
- It is an optional download, provided on an as-is basis by Citrix to serve as an example. Before use, IT administrators must customize the scripts to suit their environment. The uninstall and install scripts may be used as noted in the upgrade guide for Citrix Workspace app for Windows ( CTX135933 ).
- Install the Integration Broker component of Workspace ONE Access on the Windows server that you configured. The Integration Broker is required for the Citrix-Workspace ONE Access integration.
The high-level tasks for the integration include the following:

- Prepare the Windows Server for the Integration Broker installation.
- Add roles and features.
- Install Microsoft J# 2.0 Redistributable Package.
Microsoft J# 2.0 is not required if you plan to use the StoreFront REST API instead of the Citrix Web Interface SDK to connect to the Citrix server farm.
- Install Integration Broker.
- Download and install the Integration Broker.
- Configure IIS Manager settings for the Integration Broker.
- Set up HTTPS bindings for the Integration Broker.
- Set up Citrix PowerShell remoting to enable remote invocations between the Integration Broker server and the Citrix server farm.
- If your Citrix deployment is version 7.x or later, install Citrix Studio on the Integration Broker server. Citrix Studio includes the PowerShell SDK. Ensure that the Citrix Studio version is compatible with your Citrix deployment version.
If your Citrix deployment version is lower than 7.x, install Citrix PowerShell SDK on the Integration Broker server.
- Enable PowerShell remoting on the Citrix servers (Citrix 6.0 only).
- If your Citrix deployment is version 7.x or later, install Citrix Studio on the Integration Broker server. Citrix Studio includes the PowerShell SDK. Ensure that the Citrix Studio version is compatible with your Citrix deployment version.
- Download and copy Citrix Web Interface SDK dll files.
Citrix Web Interface SDK is not required if you plan to use the StoreFront REST API to connect to the Citrix server farm.
